On the 30th of October 2000, the Torpor Vigil Industries Mobile Lab, with its extravagantly equipped crew of technicians and inspectors, hit the streets of Toronto to conduct a series of ‘reality checks’ aimed at determining the density and quality of reality at various institutions, residences, businesses, government offices and public spaces.
